Where Are the Children?

Though much vilified, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) plans to open a dedicated Call Center to assist state and local law enforcement in locating hundreds of thousands of unaccompanied migrant children allowed illegally into the United States under the Biden Administration, children whose condition and whereabouts are now unknown [1].

More important than the immigration status of these children is their welfare which has not been adequately tracked, if at all.   Thousands upon thousands of children simply vanished.

Whistleblowers have since exposed how the vicious scheme worked [2].  Under the auspices of trafficking cartels, children – some younger than 5 years of age, some sedated by melatonin laced gummies – arrived at the border with nothing but a phone number scribbled on their arms or clothing.

Customs and Border Protection had to transfer these children to the Dept. of Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement within 72 hours.  Once there, non-governmental contractors handed the children off to their designated “sponsors”, i.e. directly back into the hands of their smugglers.

These were not parents or guardians.  Nor was any effort made to check that credentials were legitimate or even that the addresses given actually existed.  Some addresses turned out to be storage units; others, strip clubs.

Not surprisingly, approximately 458 of the so called “sponsors” instead exploited and abused the children in their care, and have now been arrested [3].

Some contend that the chaos at the southern border during the Biden Administration was the result of an intentional policy of “open borders”, i.e. deliberately lax enforcement of border security with a view toward supporting globalism and increasing illegal voter participation which favored the Democratic Party [4].

Others adamantly dispute this [5].

Republicans, it should be noted, rejected an opportunity to pass bipartisan immigration reform which would have properly funded ICE in 2024 [6].

Whatever the full truth, these children were the innocent victims of that chaos.  This was not only an epic failure by the Dept. of Health and Human Services.  It is a blight on the nation.

  1. Their safety and dignity should have been the highest priority. I hope this new call center is more than just a symbolic gesture. Voices like yours Anna helps a lot.

  2. Most evil crimes of all. Under Biden open borden we’ve lost track of 375,000 children.

  3. A shameful failure on the part of administration. Whatever the case, one must now focus on tracking down the children and saving them.

  4. Children should not have to suffer from the political turmoil created by adults
They should be given priority and those in power made responsible for their safety and welfare
Thank you Anna for bringing this to light

  5. As had been the case for nearly all of man’s history, the children are always the most vulnerable to exploitation and abuse. It doesn’t seem to matter how “advanced” a society becomes either, children are never considered the priority when it comes to the decision making powers of government. The Bible tells us “for the love of money is the root of all evil” (1 Timothy 6:10), and nowhere is that more evident than seeing how children are bought and sold like commodities by ruthless, money hungry criminals.

  6. It’s heartbreaking how vile humans can be. Thank you for sharing what is being done.

  7. Among other blights our leaders in government have caused, this one happened under our noses. May God help the little ones, the helpless ones, here and around the world. Thank you, Anna, for raising our awareness in order that we may raise our hands in prayer to the One who is able to set free the captive.
